Recipe Alla Posh Mond/Pumpkin Flower Fritters
Serving size: 2 to 4 people

  • • 6-10 alla posh/pumpkin flowers
  • • 1 cup of rice flour
  • • 1 tsp.mertshwangan/red chili powder
  • • ½ cup water
  • • ¼ tsp.salt or salt to taste
  • • Pinch of zeur/black or white cumin seed
  • • Vegetable cooking oil for frying


  • • Open alla posh at the center and remove inner stalk.
  • • Put rice flour, salt, cumin seed and chili powder in a bowl.
  • • Mix all together well.
  • • Add ½ cup water and mix to form a thick batter.
  • • Heat oil in a frying pan/kadia
  • • Dip alla posh in batter and coat batter on both sides carefully without breaking.
  • • Add battered alla posh to hot oil.
  • • Fry until alla posh turns golden red and crispy and turn to fry both sides..
  • • Serve alla posh monji hot or cold with tea as a snack or as a side dish with lunch or dinner.
