Unsung Hero
Ruhani Syed, a Kashmiri female artist from a middle class background grew up in a beautiful village called Daksum located in the interiors of Kashmir. As a teenager she was sent to Madresa an Islamic School. At the school she refused to be taught the radicical teachings and for voicing her independent views against the dogmatic religious people, she was traumatized, severely tortured and had a near death experience landing her in the ICU in the hospital. While on the hospital bed, she took a bold decision not to return to that place. She chopped her long hair, escaped and landed up in Mumbai to study computer course where she was spotted by an ace photographer Mr. Anand Seth for her unique looks. She was featured in magazines like Grazia, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Hi-blitz …. also graced the clothing of the top designers like Rohit bal, Wendell rodricks, Abhram and Thakore and many more…..Since she took a stand for other women who were being mistreated. For such an act of hers she was beaten up and fed worms and eventually landed up In an icu. After winning that battle she chose her own path with almost zero support. She faced a lot of discrimination from her society for her self acceptance.


Gifted Artist
Over the past decade she has completed five series of original art and has no formal training from an art school yet she has managed to develop her own distinctive style, appreciated by cognosecenti globally. Her work keeps evolving with each series from intense usage of colors to cold metals from childlike imagination to very matured potraits... contemporary fine art is how u can define her work .

Fashion
A senior fashion photographer Anand Seth spotted her at a friends lunch ,saying ur looks are good for the camera, he shot sum potraits of hers which were casually circulated around since then She has featured as a fashion editorial model for magazines like Grazia, Elle, Hi Blit and more. She has also graced many designer collections such as Rohit Bal, Satyapaul, Wendell Rodricks and Nikhil Shantanu, among others, with her exquisite Kashmiri looks.

Poetry
An idealist, rebel and revolutionist she writes poetry on love, betrayal and humanity. She even composes her own tunes sings her poetry,u can say her poetry is hard hitting yet surreal .Some of her work has been televised in London and Tel Aviv.
