The eldest child of late highly respected and renowned Brahmin, Shri Amarnath Handoo, Ashokji was a gem of a man who always wore a benign smile on his face. Words fail me to say how saddened I am to hear of this great loss. Cruel death has snatched one of the noblest souls I ever knew. Even though he was my wife’s younger cousin brother, I regarded his as one of my best brothers-in-law who gave me all his love and respect. I could always depend on him. I recall so many happy memories with this honest, straightforward, gentle soul, whose mere presence was a source of great strength to me. Papaji

Shri AshokJi Handoo, was in reality a devoted son, a nice person, and helpful.I saw him some four years ago, after his father--an iconic Kashmiri (Brakmin) attained Nirvana. On seeming me he showed the photograph of his father, with some Bija Mantras. Showing me, this photograph of his father, he wept bitterly, Thanks to Deepak ji, for making this obituary in visuals.

This news indeed came as a great shock to me. He was the nicest person you can meet. He would always hug you and wear a charming smile on his face. This is what I remember him by when I was a small kid whenever we used to visit him or he used to visit us. Great loss to the family. God bless him!!
